Here is a really cool use trick with the Octatrack. Increase the repeat amount on a Kick and Snare until they oscillate, then add reverb and filters. All on a separate Scene so that you can go back and forth between the original beat and 'singing' Octatrack.
Basically what i did was made a lead sound which later becomes a bass sound out of a track that had Kick and Snare on it and used repeater and cranked it up to that amount that the snare and kick become sonic. Basically they become one long beeep repeating it so fast. Used some filters on a scene and reverb. Crossfader was acting as a filter sweep. Than by changing the repeat speed i played a melody on it. The OT just sang me away :D
Thnx for sharing ;) Love this site
The setup was Kick and snare on the same channel (2). Channel 4 was used to resample the output of OT through master channel (8). So the scenes were used this way. Scene B1 was to play back the resampled audio going out of OT. Scene B2 (i think) was used for filtering the track 2 which had beatrepeat used on snare to get the lead sound and later on on a Kick for first bass sound of the pattern. Repeater was repeating on snare at the pattern where there was no kick. But when on pattern with the beat the kick is repeated also resulting in a nice bass sound. That was scene B2. To play back the resampled sound i had to change the scene back to B1. So when i crossfade between the Scene A1 and B1, A1 is playing all the channels except channel (4), and scene B1 is playing back only the resampled audio on channel (4). It might sound confusing but in practice its all fun :D
have fun tweaking and slidin'. Twealidin' you see what i did there ;)

Awesome thanks for sharing more details on the Setup!
