Convert Analog Four Arps Into Patterns and MIDI!
Have you ever wanted to convert your Elektron Analog Four Arps into actual trigs and patterns? If you could convert these steps and trigs further plock and processing could be possible! If you have a mac running OS X 10.9 this can be possible, see below for details:Presenting the Analog Bakery:
Basically this Analog Four utility takes the currently select track, if it has an Arp enabled, it will convert it to Trigs then turn the Arp on that track Off. As a bonus it can also convert that Arp into a MIDI file!
DownLoad:
Analog Bakery DMG
Bonus: can bake Standard MIDI files. MIDI file export does ignore arpeggios though, so you first need to bake all arps, then export the MIDI.
Unfortunately this will no run on an older Mac, you need OSX 10.9 to run this.
Other notes:
Arp baking may have inaccurate results when using microtimed trigs. It does support p-locks, sound locks and trigless trigs. It does not work with the PLY arp mode. When you press the button, the arp in the currently selected track is baked.
Be aware of the speed limitations it will not modify your pattern if the arp is too fast. Save your project before using this.
There needs to be a direct USB connection to your A4. This should also work with AK.
The app does not indicate whether the connection is okay, but it should be plug & play. Make sure you're using the latest A4 OS.
