Another live jam recorded recorded by CsG:
Nice percussive sounds!
Multiman (InspektorGadjet) has shared a very nice free sample pack for the Elektron Octatrack:

On this page he also describes using a Laptop free performance setup, and describes how the Elektron Octatrack is the center of that performance rig. Along with a nice video demo of his arduino MIDI project to convert an AKAI APC20 into a dedicated controller for the Octatrack.Download Single Cycle Waveform Sample Chains
Live looping with USB controllers, wireless iOS, and Ableton Live. Nothing was pre-recorded. All audio is from Native Instruments Battery, Kontakt, Reaktor, and Absynth.
A little explanation on what happened at 4:30… I was attempting to layer a synth lead with the same instance of Monark used for bass. The currently-playing bass part at 4:30 was a MIDI loop. Thinking it was an audio loop, I dialed-in more delay and lowered the volume on Monark to prep it for a higher-octave synth lead, not realizing I was altering the currently-playing bass MIDI loop. When I started to play the synth lead, the bass notes were fighting for note priority. It sounds like all I did was add delay to the bass for the last minute, but that was not the original intent. However if I multi-tracked these sessions and corrected these mistakes, it would no longer be a live performance.

Magnificence Multiplied Analog Four OS 1.1 Update Video:
Analog Four OS 1.1. has finally arrived! This is a major OS upgrade, adding polyphony, resonance boost, MIDI multi map. Oh yeah, it also unlocks the pre-installed +Drive of all units. Head on over to http://elektron.se/support-and-downloads and upgrade today!
The Analog Four is a four voice polyphonic analog synthesizer. Analog oscillators and filters ensure the most organic sounds imaginable and the Elektron step sequencer caters for the innovative sound control. With sequencer features like parameter locks and variable length per track, intricate Analog Four compositions can be created quickly and efficiently. Add the completely new and incredibly well-crafted effects to the mix and experience the next chapter in analog sounds.
I can’t wait to try out all of the new features. Especially Reso Boost, MIDI Multi Map, and the +Drive Sounds!

I just took the brand new Analog Keys for a spin, and I like it. More in depth videos to follow. Subscribe and stay up to date.
And another snippet:
Here is a really cool use trick with the Octatrack. Increase the repeat amount on a Kick and Snare until they oscillate, then add reverb and filters. All on a separate Scene so that you can go back and forth between the original beat and ‘singing’ Octatrack.
Basically what i did was made a lead sound which later becomes a bass sound out of a track that had Kick and Snare on it and used repeater and cranked it up to that amount that the snare and kick become sonic. Basically they become one long beeep repeating it so fast. Used some filters on a scene and reverb. Crossfader was acting as a filter sweep. Than by changing the repeat speed i played a melody on it. The OT just sang me away 😀
…just a quick jam with my portable music instruments 😉

Video shot with a Canon EOS-M camera and audio recorded on Roland pocket digital recorder R-05.
During this session, audio output of Analog Keys is being fed into the Octatrack. On the Octatrack, Track 1 has HOLD Record mode with Flex Buffer 1 assigned. Track 2, 3 and 4 have Pickup Machines assigned and are set to Loop 64 Steps of audio. Tracks 5, 6, 7 and 8 have sequenced drum samples and loops. By this setup, the Octatrack can act as a looper, drum machine, FX processor and a mixer while Analog Keys provides the warm and fat synthesis.
At 2:23, Octatrack is switched to next Pattern which has a different Part assigned to it. On this Part, the same recorded samples from the Analog Keys are played back backwards. This features makes the Octatrack a crazy looper with unforeseen capabilities.
The Analog Keys is a four voice flagship analog synthesizer.
