A spooky little Halloween live jam on three drum machines. Make sure you turn off all the lights before listening 🙂 Outside shots were taken on within minutes of each other on a recent clear night with a full moon as a powerful storm passed by just to the north. Gear: Elektron Machinedrum UW and dual Sync-modded Boss DR-110’s, one with a bass drum mod. Setup: Machinedrum generates sync and outputs it on one channel. A Y-adapter is used to split the sync signal to send to the DR-110’s. DR-110’s do not naturally sync to other machines, but I modified them to do so. Both DR-110’s outputs are returned to the Machinedrum and added to its mix. If you listen in stereo (add fmt=32 to the end of the URL), you can hear the two separate DR-110’s more clearly. All drum sounds from the DR-110’s, everything else from the Machinedrum. The “guitar” sound on the Machinedrum is amplitude modulation of a high-hat sound. It is difficult to control because it generates weird harmonics, but it sounds fairly guitar-like for being a high-hat. Video is HD viewable.
