Welcome! There are thousands of free Sounds and synthesizer presets hosted here on PatchArena. Across this site you'll find high quality collections of synthesizer presets, sounds, samples, orchestral instruments, percussion, and drum machines. The free Sounds on PatchArena come in many different formats:
Hardware Synthesizer in MIDI SysEx Format. - .syx
Virtual Instrument Patches in VST Format. - .fxp and .fxb
Virtual Instrument Patches in Proprietary Sound Formats. - For instance, .prog, and .h2p
Sampled Instruments in various Sampler formats. - For instance, .nki, .sfz, and .gig.

No matter what Sounds you are looking for, you will find something amongst the huge Sound database. PatchArena hosts one of the largest collections of user created synthesizer patches for hardware and software synthesizers. Relax and enjoy checking out all of the Free Sounds. Other new special Free Sound Downloads will be featured on the Blog. We also list free sounds downloads for specific synthesizers and samplers on their respective Resources pages.
The Downloads page organizes Free Sounds based on their type and usually will list download categories starting with manufacturer. From Hardware Synthesizers, Samplers, VST Plugins, Audio Units, Reason, FL Studio, Plogue Bidule Groups, and more. There are also new Download categories for iOS and mobile Sounds. As well as Sound Design Utility applications and Sound and Synth documents.
Upload Share Your Sounds
Have some cool sounds that you'd like to share? To make your sounds, patches, and samples available for others submit them here. There is no login require to download files hosted on PatchArena. It is the perfect place to share your sounds with friends. Every visit and share makes PatchArena a better experience for the next visit. A big thank you to everyone that has contributed so far.

You can upload .zip and .rar files up to 500MB. If you want to share a collection of Sounds or Samples that exceeds a few hundred MB please contact us. We'll be more then happy to host and feature custom sample packs.
