Tim Thompson has shared a very cool video of his custom Linnstrument firmware. It turns the LinnStrument into 4-track MIDI Looper Controller Interface. Very cool concept! This is one of the first videos I've seen where someone has done any customization to the Linnstrument firmware. The OS for the Linnstrument is completely open and available for download here:

A 4-track MIDI looper using the LinnStrument as the interface. This is the first demo of a work-in-progress. The MIDI looper is written in KeyKit, the GUI is in Python, the sounds are Spectrasonics, and the controller is the LinnStrument from Roger Linn - see:

In this current interface, each row-pair is a different sound, and the upper row of each pair is quantized to half the timing value of the lower row.

Roger Linn is demoing the Linnstrument at winter NAMM 2015 this week. So I'm hoping we'll see a few more demos from the trade show floor pop up.
